A Foot in the Chilterns
A Foot in the Chilterns was born out of a passion for nature and the countryside and a wish to share that passion with all people – able and less able. Anthea is a qualified occupational therapist and an accredited Nordic Walking UK instructor. She runs Nordic Walking courses and instructor led walks in the Henley area and also uses Nordic walking for rehabilitation following illness or injury.
Nordic walking is quite unique in that it provides benefits for everybody from those with medical problems to the super fit. Whatever age, fitness level or goal, Nordic Walking is suitable, effective and enjoyable. It is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running.
Having lived in the Henley-on-Thames area for nearly 30 years and walked, cycled and run around the Chilterns and Thames valley during that time, Anthea has an in depth knowledge of the paths, flora and fauna of the area, curios, pubs and tea shops. She can show you the best places for wildlife, the most spectacular views, fabulous wildflowers and woodland, and historical and local landmarks and all this while improving your fitness and wellbeing. Walking and Nordic Walking is proven to be amongst the safest and most beneficial forms of exercise. Free taster sessions are available to HBP members.

Sue Bayliss – SB Holistic Massage Therapist
I’m Sue Bayliss and am a Level 4 MTI qualified massage therapist with a passion for holistic health. My massage therapy room is not only my happy place but, hopefully, a place that you can visit to relax, rejuvenate and unwind.
A holistic approach to massage treats the body as a whole and each treatment is specifically tailored to the individual client and her specific needs. I consider your emotional wellbeing, physical body (including any aches and pains) and spiritual wellbeing and use a wide range of techniques to address any problems. Gentle massage works synergistically with stretches, relaxation work and deep tissue therapy.
I love being able to bridge the gap between western medicine and the “alternatives” whilst providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to encourage the body to rebalance.
